The Ideology of English-as-the-global-language in Taiwan’s Private English Language Schools

چکیده

English is regarded as a key to globalization or internationalization and future success for Taiwan its people. One of the most extraordinary results English-as-the-global-language teaching learning in private language schools are ubiquitous. Research into how weld together has yet received much attention. This study aims investigate Taiwan’s schools’ television commercials market what underlying ideologies are. Exploring ideology English-as-the-global-language, Critical Discourse Analysis was employed herein analyze 106 school produced from 2000 2020 Taiwan. The indicate that an ideology. Moreover, ideological concept central Taiwan, such early start learning, English-only ideal method, native-speaker norms learning.
